To my family near and far, those of you that were not with us today as we celebrated Nana’s life
You were missed , of course, amd in
our hearts ❤️ and as I looked around I could see all of you at different moments along the way to this day .
On this day, in the garden at St. Paul’s I was sure that this small garden was the right place,for this part of Nana’s journey .
At first I was surprised that my mother wanted to be at St Paul’s , it was not her favorite church . She did not attend on a regular basis but Standing there , on this cloudy rainy day, I got it 100%!!!!!
Nana wanted to be with us always , somewhere we would be able to hear her stories , remember her laugh ,her silliness and her undying love ❤️she is now laid to rest , in a beautiful place, just under a tiny flowering tree.
This where for 34 years we as a family have celebrated so many of important moments in all of our lives.
Births , baptisms , confirmations, weddings , fsarewells ,Easter’s, Christmases and all the moments in between .
I think mom knew exactly why it was the best thing she could do. to be in St Pauls garden for all time.
next to the brickwalkway we have walked time and time again as we enter and as we leave the beautiful red doors of St Paul’s Church
. If you you move a bit down the garden , not far from the side door Grampy Sam is there as well tucked in the garen amongst the flowers.
Today I feel mom with me and i hear her telling of the magic snow story, her sing sing a song, along with have i told you lately that I love you ?
Underneath the most magnificent stained glass windows with a bench beside the garden ,It is fitting that Nana was laid to rest where she continues to be with us today. As well as on those Christmas Eves with the snow lightly falling as we head to the service , when the lights are a glow, and when the sun streamimg through the trees on a beautiful spring day , Fitting indeed that Nana is forever is in all that has been and all that is to come in our lives .
What We all know she is safe in gods loving arms and us in hers .
